In 2002, Clancy and his wife, Sandy, moved with their four kids from Wooster, OH, to Marysville to begin a new church plant for the Fellowship of Grace Brethren Churches. This was one small step of faith that God has used to impact the city of Marysville in huge way.
When Clancy came to know the Lord at age 19,
his pastor began to encourage him towards preaching and
pastoring. He soon began his formal training at Cedarville College (B.S.
in Comprehensive Bible), where he met his wife, Sandy, followed by
Grace Theological Seminary (Masters of Divinity). He returned to his hometown of Wooster to serve on the pastoral staff at Wooster Grace. After 10 years on staff and much prayer, Clancy was persuaded by Pastor Ed Jackson from Grace Church Powell to plant a church in Marysville.
Through his years of ministry, Clancy’s passion remains being able to see people learn the gospel – praying a prayer that changes them from the inside out – grow in Christ-like love, then share that hope and love with others. He enjoys creating teams and seeing them be strong in their love, work, and witness. And he enjoys being challenged to use his God-given gifts of leadership, teaching, encouragement, discernment, and hospitality to serve others.
Jeremy and his wife, Terra, moved to Marysville in 2007 from Georgia where they had been serving as lay leaders in their church worship team. At the time, they had not been looking to move, but, when approached about the worship pastor position here at Marysville Grace, they knew it was what God wanted for them.
Jeremy grew up in Maryland, close to the Chesapeake Bay. Since his family was very musical, he learned early on to use his gift in music to worship God. He attended Grace College and graduated with his B.A. in Communications and Youth Ministry. Here he also met and married Terra. They now have four growing children.
For a few years, Jeremy ventured into the world of business, learning many skills that are now very helpful in his current role - people management, budget, and finance. To be even better equipped to serve and lead in the Church, Jeremy also received further ministry training by completing his Masters in Local Church Ministry through Grace Theological Seminary.
In his years here, Jeremy has been intentional in forming relationships and building and encouraging leaders. His greatest joy is found in leading people to know and follow Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
Few people on the staff of Marysville Grace have lived in as many places as Pastor Kelvin. Indiana, California, Mississippi, Pennsylvania, Washington, Iowa, and Ohio, since 2011, are all on his list. Many would see this as a physical journey in life, but it has also been a spiritual one.
When he was 10 years old, Kelvin went to an evangelistic outreach service where he made the choice to accept God’s free gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. In high school, he had a moment of great conviction when he realized that he was not truly following Christ with his whole heart. After repenting and recommitting his life to Christ, he felt God calling him to go into full time Christian ministry.
Kelvin went on to receive his B.S. in Pastoral Ministries from Breckbill Bible College then his Masters of Divinity from Grace Theological Seminary, where he met and married his wife, Kim. They now have two grown children.
Kelvin has had the opportunity to serve in many capacities over the years in the various places he’s lived: Associate Professor and Dean of Students, Senior Pastor, Pastor-Teacher, and volunteer. In these, he's been able to use his creativity and ability to build strong relationships to shepherd, disciple, and encourage the Body of Christ. Kelvin finds great reward in seeing people take the “next step” in their relationship with Christ, whether it’s the first step of faith in Christ or a step of growth in their relationship with Christ. He's also excited to train shepherds and leaders who can carry on the discipleship cycle with others.
Isaac grew up in Moses Lake, WA, and gave his life to Jesus at a young age after hearing the gospel at Vacation Bible School. He was baptized at the age of ten and began to feel God drawing him towards worship ministry. Growing up with parents that were very musical, Isaac learned how to play the guitar and had many opportunities to serve on the worship team in his local church.
Primarily through the influence of his worship pastor, Isaac decided to attend Cedarville University and eventually graduated with his B.A. in Worship and Comprehensive Bible. While at Cedarville, Isaac gained further experience and training for worship ministry by serving four years on Heartsong Touring Teams, and three of those years as a Team Leader. Isaac and Julie met while serving with Heartsong and eventually got married.
Just before getting married, Isaac began the two-year residency at Marysville Grace in the Fall of 2015. He and Julie finally moved to Marysville in the Spring of 2016, after her fifth year at Cedarville University. Upon finishing the two-year residency and receiving his M.A. in Ministry Studies from Grace College, Isaac accepted the Worship Pastor position at Marysville Grace, knowing that it was what God had for him.
Isaac’s heart and purpose is to help people learn, live, and give the gospel of Jesus Christ, disciple and mentor next generation leaders, and to facilitate and lead our church in unified praise to God alone.
Growing up, Tyler attended a Christian school, then went to Bellefontaine High School. At the age of 10, he accepted Christ as his Savior when he fully realized that Jesus really did die for him.
During high school, he began to feel God's call in his life to full time ministry. He attended Cedarville University, where he met his wife, Bree, and majored in Youth Ministry and Christian Education. He's thankful that he's had several different mentors over the years, including Jarrod Batholomew, Paul Fields, Dr. Hutchinson, and his dad.
Tyler loves being in ministry and has had lots of experience - youth groups, sports camps, mission trips, etc. In all these things, he has learned to approach challenges with prayer, reflection, and waiting for God's leading. Tyler's passion is to see students grow, see Jesus more clearly, and become more passionate about Him.
Since joining our staff in 2014, he's been glad to be at a church with the Gospel at its center. He's excited to pour into people, to have other pour into him, and to see what God will do in our lives together. Tyler and Bree welcomed their first son in the fall of 2016.
Rich grew up in Louisville, Kentucky, where he gave his life to Christ at a young age, was baptized, and later began to feel God’s call on his life to be in ministry. After high school, Rich and his family moved to Ohio where God opened the door for him to serve in youth ministry as a volunteer and to attend school to become a Physical Therapist Assistant.
In 2002, Rich graduated from Clark State Community College (Associate's in Applied Science) and married his wife Amy. While working full time as a PTA, Rich also had the privilege to serve part time as a Youth Pastor at a church on the west side of Columbus.
In 2011, Rich and Amy and their kids moved from the Columbus Area to Marysville and began attending Marysville Grace. Rich spent many years serving in a volunteer capacity in the Life Groups Ministry, Children's Ministry, and on the Elder team. October of 2018 brought an end to the Physical Therapy world for Rich and a new beginning of full time ministry.
Rich now serves as the Life Groups Pastor at Marysville Grace. His passion is to help develop lasting relationships that encourage people to grow closer to Jesus and to each other. Rich finds great joy in teaching, encouraging, and serving others through the Life Groups Ministry, and is thankful that God opened the door for him to serve full time.
